Help shape the new living guidelines for pregnancy and postnatal care - survey now open

The Australian Living Evidence Consortium (ALEC), the Australian College of Midwives (ACM) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) were recently awarded an Australian Government tender to develop new Living Evidence for Australian Pregnancy and Postnatal care (LEAPP) Guidelines.

With 26 member organisations joining to date, the cross-disciplinary LEAPP collaboration will now begin updating the existing Pregnancy Care Guidelines to reflect current evidence and best practice. New pregnancy and postnatal care living guidelines will be continually updated over the next five years.

As a part of this work, we are seeking to capture the opinions and experiences of Australian healthcare practitioners and others who have been involved in developing or using the current guidelines to inform where evidence is emerging in the pregnancy and postnatal space, what topics are of high priority and how we can improve the guideline.

This involves a brief (10-15 minute) survey which focuses on care during and after pregnancy only (*not during labour and delivery). Your participation is voluntary, anonymous, and would be very much appreciated.

To tell us what you think, please complete the evaluation survey before Friday 7 July. A summary of the results of the survey, including no identifying information, will be used to improve the guidelines and facilitate their transition into ‘living’ guidelines, as well as informing research publications.

Please feel free to share this Evaluation Survey with your colleagues and networks, and for any questions or more information contact Dr Tanya Millard at tanya.millard@monash.edu.
