Australian postnatal guidelines

The Australian Living Evidence Collaboration (ALEC), the Australian College of Midwives (ACM) and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) are identifying priorities for the development of the Australian postnatal guidelines.

The Living Evidence for Australian Pregnancy and Postnatal Care (LEAPP) Guidelines is a five year project with multidisciplinary collaboration between 22 member organisations.

As the Australian postnatal guidelines will be developed from scratch, we are asking Australian healthcare providers involved in postnatal care to complete a 10-15 minute survey.

Although we have finalised the scope for the postnatal guidelines, we are now seeking guidance from healthcare practitioners and consumers (people who are or have been pregnant in the past 5 years; are planning to be pregnant; partners of people who are pregnant; or maternity consumer representative) to recognise priority topics for postnatal care.

The Prioritisation Survey is now open and closes at 5pm on Friday 1st December.
