Share your views on diversity and inclusion in Cochrane – join our online discussion

Share your ideas about diversity and inclusion in Cochrane in our upcoming community consultation. We need your views and practical suggestions about what we can do to be more inclusive.

Cochrane Australia’s Melissa Murano will be facilitating an informal online discussion with 3 -6 people about diversity and inclusion in Cochrane. The discussion will take place on Zoom and will run for ~1 hour in the first weeks of December 2021 (date and time to be determined once we have enough participants). The broad questions we will be discussing are:

  • Cochrane says it wants to be diverse and inclusive. What do those words mean to you?

  • What do you think Cochrane is doing well and less well in terms of diversity and inclusion?

  • Do you feel as included as you want in Cochrane’s work? If not, what gets in the way?

  • What practical things should Cochrane focus on or change first to be more inclusive?

As this exercise is about hearing your views and ideas, any other questions or topics you think are relevant are also up for discussion. Please note that this is an informal discussion, and not research. Melissa will facilitate the discussion and take notes of the main points to provide to Cochrane’s central team, and will not record names or any confidential information.

Cochrane will be compiling the feedback from all group discussions taking place around the world to plan their next steps. A summary of all the feedback will be provided, as well as what will happen next as a result. If you are interested in joining the discussion, or know of someone who would be interested, please contact Melissa at melissa.murano@monash.edu.

Only 3 -6 people will be able to attend the session, so we will take expressions of interest on a first-come-first-served basis. Thanks for your contribution!
